Album Notes & Community Reviews
Departing slightly from the pure, euphoric synth-pop of their breakout debut, 'In Rolling Waves' adopts a moodier, more atmospheric approach to indietronica. The New Zealand quintet explores expansive, slow-building arrangements and lush electronic textures beneath Alisa Xayalith's crystalline vocal performances. The darker, mature songwriting reflects the emotional toll of extensive touring and internal band dynamics, resulting in a deeply sentimental sophomore effort.
