Album Notes & Community Reviews

Credited to Prince's backing band but effectively operating as a de facto solo release, this album is a deeply grooving exploration of modern soul and funk. Filled with slinky basslines, upbeat horn sections, and unabashedly sexual lyricism, the project captures the artist's late-90s transition into highly polished contemporary R&B.
