The final studio album by The Police is a remarkably sophisticated, heavily synthesized pop-rock triumph that largely abandons their early reggae-punk roots. Sting's deeply conscious, literary songwriting explores themes of Jungian psychology and obsessive romance over lush, incredibly dense, and melodic arrangements. 'Synchronicity' is a highly polished, bittersweet masterpiece that crowned them the biggest band in the world before their dissolution.
