Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to soften the band's infamously rough, proto-punk R&B image, the Fontana label heavily imposed lush orchestral and brass arrangements upon these recording sessions. Though the band reportedly despised the final product, the album is a fascinatingly moody slice of baroque pop and freakbeat that hinted at the massive creative leap they were about to make. It served as the troubled transitional stepping stone toward their magnum opus, 'S.F. Sorrow'.
