Album Notes & Community Reviews
Shedding the commercial synth-pop sheen of their mid-eighties output, the band returns to a more aggressive, guitar-oriented sound palette. 'Book of Days' envelops Richard Butler's cynical lyricism in a thick, swirling haze of distortion, closely aligning with the burgeoning shoegaze movement.
