Album Notes & Community Reviews

Self-released to sell during their European tour, this independent debut introduced the Philadelphia collective's groundbreaking live-instrumentation approach to hip hop. Anchored by Questlove's organic drumming and Black Thought's dexterous rhyming, the album eschewed sampling to create a warm, deeply rhythmic jazz-rap foundation.
