Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released on his own short-lived Public Records imprint following his departure from EMI, the iconic folk maverick delivered a notably ambitious, semi-orchestral suite. 'Work of Heart' was heavily impacted by personal financial strain and label collapse, yet it features intensely personal songwriting wrapped in sweeping, progressive folk-rock arrangements. It represents a resilient, transitional moment for the fiercely independent songwriter.
