Album Notes & Community Reviews

The pioneering all-female hard rock quintet solidifies their aggressive, sexually charged sound under the heavy-handed management of Kim Fowley. With Joan Jett stepping up to share lead vocal duties alongside Cherie Currie, the album embraces a slightly heavier, proto-punk sonic aesthetic. Despite continuous critical dismissal in their native United States, the record fueled their massive, chaotic ascendance to superstardom in Japan.
