Album Notes & Community Reviews
Dominated by ringing 12-string electric guitars and crystalline vocal harmonies, this collection embodies the slightly more refined, chiming edge of the Merseybeat phenomenon. The group heavily reinterprets American rhythm and blues standards, injecting them with a bouncy, lightweight pop sensibility. 'Sugar & Spice' laid crucial structural groundwork for the developing folk-rock jangle that would soon emerge.
