Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emulating the aggressive, unpolished aesthetic of the mid-60s British Invasion, this Liverpool trio delivered a wildly energetic and anachronistic debut. 'Mexican R'n'B' was recorded entirely in mono, capturing the fuzzy, frantic spirit of vintage garage rock and R&B. Despite intense critical enthusiasm and high-profile endorsements from their peers, the band's retro-purist vision failed to translate into mainstream commercial success.
