Album Notes & Community Reviews
This innovative project utilizes a cappella jazz vocal techniques to reinterpret intricate Baroque counterpoint. Backed only by a subtle rhythm section, the singers articulate complex fugues and preludes using scat syllables rather than lyrics. 'Jazz Sebastian Bach' achieved massive commercial success by proving that classical mathematics and swinging jazz rhythms share a deeply complementary groove.
