Proxy

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Proxy' is built upon lengthy, ambitious progressive rock compositions that blend a classic 1970s sensibility with a strong jazz-fusion and Canterbury-scene orientation. The album is characterized by its complex arrangements, driven by prominent Hammond organ, intricate bass lines, and dynamic saxophone and flute passages, while also exploring funk, Spanish musical themes, and even elements of electronic dance music. Lyrically, the album continues the band's tradition of sharp political and social commentary, using the title to critique contemporary global issues and the nature of modern life.
