Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emerging from the lively Amsterdam underground, The Tapes delivered a sharp, highly energetic blend of new wave and angular post-punk with 'Party'. The album is characterized by jittery guitar riffs, prominent synthesizer textures, and the charismatic vocal delivery of frontman Rolf Hermsen. It remains a critically respected, energetic highlight of the Dutch alternative rock scene.
