Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as their 19th studio album since their inception in 1988, 'Static Charge' marks another boundary-pushing release for the UK-based project The Telescopes. Issued through Tapete Records, the seven-track record was written and recorded largely live over two months at frontman Stephen Lawrie's Butterfly House studio. The project delivers a highly distorted, experimental blend of noise rock, space rock, and drone, driven by heavy, hypnotic rhythms and low-end disruption.
