Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking a critical turning point for the legendary vocal group, this record introduced Dennis Edwards as the new lead singer while signaling a deliberate shift away from traditional Motown pop toward socially conscious themes. Produced by Norman Whitfield, the project heavily incorporated wah-wah pedals and extended instrumental passages, helping pioneer a new, grittier musical subgenre.
