Album Notes & Community Reviews

Completely surrendering to the adventurous vision of producer Norman Whitfield, the legendary vocal group fully embraced the sprawling, acid-tinged funk of the counterculture era. Highlighting complex, multi-layered percussion, heavy wah-wah guitars, and distinct vocal trade-offs among all five members, it represents a definitive, highly successful expansion of the classic Motown sound.
