Album Notes & Community Reviews
Stepping slightly away from the abrasive lo-fi punk of their early work, the Portland trio's fourth album, produced by John Agnello, offers a noticeably cleaner, punchier sound. Hutch Harris's lyrics shift from direct political critique towards more existential and thematic concerns about human evolution and mortality. The record relies heavily on infectious power-pop hooks and tightly wound, energetic rhythms.
