Mount the Air

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Anchored by an astonishing, ten-minute opening title track, the English folk collective delivers a masterpiece of incredibly lush, heavily orchestrated chamber music. 'Mount the Air' flawlessly intertwines traditional regional songwriting with deeply cinematic string sections, delicate piano, and the remarkably pure, interwoven vocal harmonies of sisters Rachel and Becky Unthank. It is a profoundly beautiful, immensely peaceful, and deeply melancholic exploration of traditional British music.
