The seventh studio album by The Waterboys ended a seven-year recording silence and presents alternative rock and pop rock at widescreen scale. Produced by Mike Scott, with returning saxophonist Anthony Thistlethwaite back after a decade, its fourteen songs pair melodic guitar architecture and soaring structures with contemporary electronic textures; the record began as a Scott solo project before a new deal restored the band name.
