Album Notes & Community Reviews
Relocating his recording sessions to Nashville, Mike Scott infuses his legendary folk-rock ensemble with a profound, distinctly American rhythm and blues energy. 'Modern Blues' features a robust, incredibly tight backing band playing Hammond organs and driving electric guitars beneath his deeply poetic, evocative storytelling. The album marks a wonderfully energetic, revitalized chapter for the veteran group.
