Album Notes & Community Reviews

The final studio album from The Who before their lengthy hiatus, 'It's Hard' heavily incorporates early 80s synthesizer gloss and AOR production techniques. Pete Townshend delivers deeply conscious, politically oriented lyricism regarding the Cold War over highly melodic, energetic pop-rock arrangements that drift significantly away from their visceral hard-rock roots.
