Pete Townshend's second massive rock opera is a profoundly ambitious, deeply empathetic exploration of teenage alienation set against the backdrop of the 1960s Mod subculture. 'Quadrophenia' is an incredibly epic, fiercely energetic hard rock masterpiece, utilizing wonderfully melodic, heavily orchestrated symphonic arrangements to fuel remarkably passionate, highly introspective themes of rebellious identity.
