Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Acid Brass' was artist Jeremy Deller's project with the Stockport colliery band, arranged by Rodney Newton and recorded at BBC North on Oxford Road, Manchester. The band plays acid house and techno standards, including A Guy Called Gerald's 'Voodoo Ray', Rhythm Is Rhythm's 'Strings of Life' and 808 State's 'Pacific 202'. It remains the definitive collision of brass band tradition and rave culture.
