Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emerging as a key act in the Neue Deutsche Welle movement, The Wirtschaftswunder delivered a highly eccentric and theatrical debut with 'Salmobray'. The album blends jagged post-punk rhythms with distinctly surreal, humorous German lyricism and unconventional instrumentation. It captures the frantic, D.I.Y. energy that characterized the early 1980s West German underground scene.
