Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'ANIMA', Thom Yorke and producer Nigel Godrich construct a dystopian soundscape built from stuttering electronic beats, manipulated vocal loops, and deep, synthesized bass. The album's thematic core explores anxiety, dreams, and societal alienation, conveyed through Yorke's fragmented melodies and falsetto. Released concurrently, a short companion film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson expands on these motifs, featuring choreographed sequences that visually interpret the album's anxious, dream-like state.
