Album Notes & Community Reviews

Kristin Hersh led her veteran alternative rock outfit through a brilliantly focused, highly energetic album propelled by arguably their most accessible songwriting to date. The remarkably tight power-pop arrangements perfectly complement her idiosyncratic, intensely personal lyricism and distinctive, sliding guitar chords. Driven by the modest MTV success of 'Bright Yellow Gun', the critically acclaimed record marked a powerful late-career commercial peak.
