Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as an expansive three-disc collection of long-form instrumental compositions, 'Spirit Counsel' was recorded during a period of extensive touring and improvisation. The compositions pay tribute to the former Sonic Youth guitarist's avant-garde influences and mentors, utilizing massed guitars to explore extended durations and harmonic overtones.
