Album Notes & Community Reviews
The second full-length by the Kemi band formed around Blastmor, 'The Spirit of Rebellion' layers symphonic keyboards over melodic black metal, the sessions after which session keyboardist HM became a permanent member. Its synthesis of Finnish black metal aggression and symphonic arrangement typifies the turn-of-the-century symphonic black metal sound.
