Album Notes & Community Reviews

Aiming for a more accessible, radio-friendly sound, the avant-garde songwriter partnered with Frank Zappa's DiscReet label and utilized prominent session musicians. The result drastically pivoted away from his abstract jazz-folk origins toward polished soul and R&B, featuring an unexpected but striking cover of Fred Neil's 'Dolphins'.
