Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded on analog tape with minimal acoustic instrumentation, Jesy Fortino's second full-length album is an exercise in stark intimacy and meditative patience. The elongated, fingerpicked compositions border on drone music, perfectly accompanying her desolate, haunting vocal timbre. It stands out in the Sub Pop catalog as a remarkably uncompromising and isolating piece of avant-folk artistry.
