Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced entirely by her longtime friend and collaborator Mica Levi, the British vocalist's debut album is a stunningly intimate, incredibly stripped-back deconstruction of contemporary R&B. The record relies on off-kilter, lo-fi drum machine loops and sparse piano chords to frame Tirzah's remarkably unvarnished, deeply romantic vocal delivery. It was universally celebrated as one of the most uniquely beautiful and quietly innovative pop records of the year.
