Album Notes & Community Reviews

The visionary frontman of Kayo Dot and maudlin of the Well steps out for a remarkably subdued, deeply melancholic solo debut. The record completely abandons complex avant-garde metal in favor of funereal pacing, minimalist acoustic guitars, and eerie, atmospheric synthesizers. It is a profoundly dark, lethargic exploration of doomed romance and emotional isolation.
