Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed by veteran vocalist Cliff Bennett, this British ensemble enlisted future Uriah Heep members Ken Hensley and Lee Kerslake for their eponymous debut. The record delivers a heavy, riff-laden sound that helped bridge the gap between late-sixties blues and emerging heavy metal. Notably, the original pressing featured controversial surrealist artwork designed by the legendary studio Hipgnosis.
