Best known as the drummer for The Smile and Sons of Kemet, Tom Skinner leads an exceptionally fluid, avant-garde jazz quintet. The compositions heavily feature cello and intricate, polyrhythmic drumming, drawing profound inspiration from the spiritual jazz recordings of the 1970s.
