Album Notes & Community Reviews
Championed by David Byrne and reintroduced to an international audience, the eccentric Tropic谩lia pioneer delivered his first album of entirely new material in over a decade. 'The Hips of Tradition' playfully deconstructs Brazilian musical conventions, layering surreal tape loops and unconventional percussion over acoustic guitars. The recording proved that his avant-garde sensibilities and satirical edge had only sharpened during his long commercial absence.
