Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded as a heartfelt tribute to the late Polish poet and Nobel Laureate Wis艂awa Szymborska, the legendary trumpeter assembled a formidable new American ensemble for this double album. Featuring pianist David Virelles, bassist Thomas Morgan, and drummer Gerald Cleaver, the record is a masterclass in patient, darkly romantic modal jazz improvisation.
