Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Groundhogs' frontman stepped away from his power trio to deliver this fiercely eclectic, literally two-sided solo debut. The first half is a stunning showcase of raw, Delta-inspired acoustic blues and bottleneck guitar playing, while the second side boldly plunges into an extended, experimental synthesizer suite featuring the ARP 2600. The bizarre juxtaposition of traditional roots music and futuristic electronic sequencing makes it a deeply fascinating anomaly of the 1970s.
