Album Notes & Community Reviews

Retreating from the heavily layered, live-band indie rock of 'What For?', Chaz Bear returns to the lush, synthesizer-driven bedroom pop that defined his early chillwave releases. The record acts as an incredibly smooth, deeply introspective exploration of a romantic breakup and the anxieties of prolonged touring. It relies heavily on 1980s R&B textures, vocoder-laced vocals, and woozy, ambient pop atmospheres.
