Album Notes & Community Reviews

Her debut for Merge Records, 'Silver Tongue' finds Mackenzie Scott synthesizing her various sonic identities into a cohesive and powerful whole. The album masterfully blends the sharp indie-rock guitars of her earlier work with the rhythmic, synth-driven textures of its predecessor. It's a deeply romantic and poetic record that explores the joys and anxieties of new love with a confident and melodically rich sound.
