Album Notes & Community Reviews
An essential artifact of Japan's economic bubble era, 'After 5 Clash' perfectly encapsulates the glitzy, urban nightlife aesthetic of City Pop. Kadomatsu fuses slap-bass grooves, shimmering synthesizers, and breezy brass sections to create a highly danceable, cosmopolitan sound. In the modern era, the record has found a renewed global audience through internet-driven funk and vaporwave revivalism.
