Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in an intensely intimate and sweltering Houston club over several nights in 1973, 'Live at The Old Quarter' presents the legendary songwriter in his purest form. Stripped of the lush orchestrations that sometimes crowded his studio albums, the raw solo acoustic performances emphasize his peerless lyrical poetry and devastating emotional delivery. The recording captures the warm, engaging rapport between the artist and a deeply captivated audience.
