Album Notes & Community Reviews

Despite its tongue-in-cheek title, Townes Van Zandt's sixth studio album is a profoundly melancholic, staggeringly beautiful collection of country-folk mastery. The record is incredibly mellow and wonderfully pastoral, utilizing deeply acoustic, highly atmospheric arrangements to frame his remarkably poetic, intensely introspective reflections on love and sorrow.
