Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capitalizing on her massive, multi-colored breakthrough, the British avant-pop icon delivered a noticeably darker and more complex follow-up. Produced by Steve Lillywhite, 'The Changeling' integrates heavy, gothic-tinged synthesizer arrangements with progressive rock structures and Toyah Willcox's theatrical, idiosyncratic vocals. The ambitious release cemented her unique position at the intersection of punk aesthetics and grand art-rock.
