Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capitalizing on Wendy James's hyper-stylized blonde punk persona, the British group delivered a massive commercial breakthrough in their homeland. 'Velveteen' perfectly distills the era's glossy alternative pop sensibilities, matching rebellious attitude with undeniable, neon-tinged hooks.
