Album Notes & Community Reviews

Propelled directly into the MTV mainstream by the massively infectious single 'I Got a Girl', Tripping Daisy's sophomore effort is a brilliantly strange alternative rock gem. 'I Am an Elastic Firecracker' successfully injects highly colorful, neo-psychedelic textures and wildly eccentric vocal performances straight into the era's standard post-grunge template. The Dallas band offered a wonderfully surreal, deeply quirky contrast to the aggressively brooding bands of the mid-90s.
