Silence in the Snow

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Prompted largely by frontman Matt Heafy's vocal struggles, the Florida metalcore outfit entirely abandons screaming on their seventh studio album. 'Silence in the Snow' embraces a remarkably polished, stadium-ready interpretation of traditional heavy metal, prioritizing soaring, clean vocal melodies and colossal guitar solos. The record represents a highly divisive, yet undeniably epic shift towards mainstream alternative metal.
