Album Notes & Community Reviews
The debut album from the Australian supergroup, 'A Laughing Death in Meatspace' delivers a frantic fusion of art punk and noise rock, characterized by manipulated drum machine grooves, obscure digital effects, and raw, distorted guitars. Frontman Gareth Liddiard’s apocalyptic yet darkly humorous lyrics critique modern anxieties such as technological overreach and political polarization, creating a chaotic but rhythmically focused statement.
