Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their second album 'Braindrops', Tropical Fuck Storm delivers a frantic and frayed fusion of art-punk, psychedelic noise, and distorted funk grooves. The band constructs a sound that is deliberately unsettling yet rhythmically compelling, utilizing unconventional recording techniques and what frontman Gareth Liddiard describes as a blend of techno gear and rock-and-roll instrumentation. Lyrically, the album explores themes of manipulation, societal decay, and absurdist political conspiracies with a sardonic and darkly comic wit, cementing the band's reputation for creating vital and uncomfortably relevant musical statements.
