Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded in Los Angeles with producers Bill Metoyer and Brian Slagel, the debut slows the Black Sabbath template into funereal, scripture haunted doom. It was issued under the band's name alone and took the title 'Psalm 9' only after a second self titled album appeared, a renaming that fixed its place among the first doom metal records.
