Album Notes & Community Reviews

Making a highly controversial pivot following their massive TikTok-fueled success, the Los Angeles indie-pop project heavily integrates traditional gospel music samples into their sound on 'Grapes Upon the Vine'. The album loops soaring, spiritual vocal performances over their signature lethargic, trip-hop-inspired drum beats, juxtaposing deeply religious themes with cynical lyricism. The record alienated many newer fans but showcased a bold, deeply experimental evolution for the group.
